Veterinary Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgeon
Dr. Herman has wanted to help pets ever since he was a child. He graduated from Purdue University as a double major in Animal Science and Biology. He was then fortunate enough to obtain early entry for his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University. Upon finishing at Purdue, he went on to an internship at the world-renowned Animal Medical Center in New York City. He completed a 3-year surgical residency at MedVet in Columbus, Ohio where he really developed his passion for minimally invasive orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation. He has advanced training in rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee.
The human-animal bond was the driving factor that led Dr. Herman to veterinary medicine. Seeing the impact that animals have on individuals and families is astounding! He loves hearing the stories of how much the patients mean to their pet parents. Over the years, he has noticed how much an injured pet’s impaired movement strains the bond between the pet and the pet’s parents. This is the driving force that created Kinetic Pets. His goal is to strengthen the bond between his patients and their pet parents by improving their mobility through minimally invasive surgical and rehabilitation procedures to be free from pain as fast as possible. He treats each case as an individual to determine the best possible treatment plan in the most minimally invasive procedure.
Outside of orthopedic surgery he enjoys spending time with his family, going to football games, golfing, traveling and home improvements.
